Well, as the hustle and bustle of the holiday season speeds up, the weather gets colder and the plants slow down a little, the student gardeners have been busy tending the over-wintering crops of greens, harvesting the remaining lettuces, learning to make top-notch compost piles and(4th and 5th graders) learning about native plants in the mint family-we have 5 different types of sage in the coastal classroom alone!
